OutKast and Waffle House put a merch collection on OutKast.com on Friday, October 2. The collection page lists 13 items. When we checked on Saturday morning, the ATL Icons Bucket Hat and the Duo Buckle Stacked Logo Belt were sold out, the rest of the pieces were still listed as available, and the bomber jacket's page says it is a preorder expected to ship around November 6.

The idea comes from a line in "So Fresh, So Clean", the 2001 single from 2000's Stankonia that name-checks gator belts and patty melts. Waffle House teased the drop with a photo of one of its signs carrying the lyric, according to Hoodline, and Black America Web reports the duo announced the partnership on Wednesday, September 30.

The clothing runs from the Bootleg Vintage Tee and the Store Front White Tee at $50 each to the Ain't No Thang! Vintage Tee at $65, the Gator Belts Work Shirt at $85 and the Waffle Record Hoodie at $90. The ATL Icons Bomber Jacket is the top of the range at $250. Accessories are an ATL Icons Bucket Hat at $45, a two-pack of socks at $45 and a Duo Buckle Stacked Logo Belt at $150.

The diner kit is what makes it a collab rather than a logo swap: an ATL Icons Apron at $50, an order-pad poster at $35, a spatula at $70 and a Gator Belts & Patty Melts diner mug at $25.

Black America Web, citing Secret Atlanta, reports a launch party on Friday from 11am to 1pm at the Waffle House at 135 Andrew Young International Blvd. NW in Atlanta, with DJs, souvenir menus and coupons alongside the merch. Outlets disagree on the online start time, so we are not giving one: Hoodline says 10am and Black America Web says 11am Eastern.

Waffle House opened its first restaurant in Avondale Estates, Georgia, in 1955, according to the chain's own history as relayed by Black America Web, and the bomber's chest logo carries "Est. 1955". The collection leans on that Atlanta-area pairing and on a lyric fans already know.

Correction: An earlier version of this story said every one of the 13 items showed as out of stock on Saturday morning; the collection page's filter said so, but its product listings show only the ATL Icons Bucket Hat and the Duo Buckle Stacked Logo Belt sold out, with the bomber jacket on preorder. It also called "So Fresh, So Clean" a 2000 single; the song is from the 2000 album Stankonia and was released as a single in 2001.
