Casselini, the Tokyo label that makes women's bags and accessories, is releasing an Umbro capsule made exclusively for it, and pre-orders open Friday, October 9 on its official store, CASSELINI ONLINE. The announcement went out on October 2 in a Casselini press release on PR Times, which describes it as items made for Casselini with Umbro, the English football brand founded in 1924.
There are six pieces. The Fake Boa Knapsack is ¥9,900 and comes in seven colours, including red, animal, grey, coral and cherry red. The Print Boston Bag is also ¥9,900, in sax blue, mint and black. The Track Jacket is ¥20,900 in mint or black, the Flower Zip Hoodie is ¥19,800 in ivory, mint or black, the Reversible Tippet is ¥5,720 and the Jacquard Watch cap is ¥5,500. All prices include tax.
The look is the point. Casselini's release says the capsule brings new patterns and colours that are trendy while keeping the label's own character, and FashionSnap describes floral, animal and polka-dot designs across the line. In the release photos that means a floral fleece knapsack with a pink Umbro diamond and a leopard-print one with the logo stitched in tan, plus a black Boston bag with white polka dots.
Umbro's other recent collaboration we covered, Steven Mena's line for WSS, is a different take on the brand; Casselini's is built around small, colourful accessories and a few layers.
The release names no store beyond the online shop and doesn't say whether it ships outside Japan. It's on our Drop Tracker for October 9.
