Elie Saab x H&M Lands October 22: Gowns, Sequins and Tailoring for Women and Men

H&M's collaboration with Lebanese couturier Elie Saab goes on sale on Thursday, October 22, in select H&M stores and online. H&M Group announced it on September 8. Its release gives no store list, prices or sizes yet.

The collection covers womenswear, menswear and accessories. H&M describes embellished gowns, shimmering separates, tailored pieces, fine lace, gradient sequins and signature monograms. The Balcony Stories, writing about the campaign imagery, lists black lace one-shoulder dresses, sheer embellished tops, architectural jumpsuits with oversized bows and metallic sequin jackets worn with crisp shirts. For menswear it describes relaxed dark shirts, wide-leg trousers and patterned scarves, so the men's side is built around the same tailoring-and-shine idea.

Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M's Creative Advisor, said in the announcement: "We are thrilled to announce this landmark collaboration with ELIE SAAB." Saab, the house's Chairman and Chief Creative Officer, said: "Each piece has been created with care and dedication, bringing together a complete wardrobe that speaks to every moment of a woman's life."

H&M's note on the house says it was founded in Beirut, gained recognition for its bridal designs, and that Saab was one of the first international members of France's Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture. It now spans couture, ready-to-wear and accessories.
