Icecream and Alpha Industries put a five-piece collection on sale on Friday morning, October 16, at the 10am Eastern start ICECREAM's post the evening before had given. It's on bbcicecream.com and alphaindustries.com, and ICECREAM's captions also list both brands' US flagship stores, Alpha's European and Korean sites and Alpha retailers worldwide. BBCICECREAM JP, ICECREAM's Japanese store, gets it on October 17.

What's in it

The headline piece is the B-15 Bomber Heritage Fit Jacket at $300. Its reflective shell carries an arched ICECREAM wordmark across the chest in reflective ink, plus a detachable Dalmatian-print faux-fur collar, and it reverses to an orange lining printed with the brand's running-dog logo. A utility pocket on the left sleeve and a custom flight ribbon supply the military detail. Alpha's page warns that because of the reflective fabric the colour "may vary in shades of black and gray," and ICECREAM's two lead photos show it both ways: near-black in daylight, white under flash.

The Flight Nylon Relaxed Fit Pant ($225) matches it: a reflective shell with a Dalmatian-print faux-fur pocket and reflective ICECREAM and running-dog graphics. Alpha sells the same five pieces at the same prices under its own names, calling the jacket its Reflective Fur Collar Jacket and the pant its Fur Patch Pant.

The Faux Fur Full-Zip Hoodie ($250) is a Dalmatian-print faux-fur shell with a full-zip hood, an oversized fit, a running dog embroidered across the back and a custom jock tag at the front hem. It reverses to a black side with a reflective running-dog print. The two stores' spec lists disagree on that reverse side's fabric: ICECREAM's says nylon, Alpha's says cotton.

The Essential Relaxed Fit Tee is $80, in 100% cotton per ICECREAM's listing, with reflective vest-inspired graphics printed on the front and back, an Alpha Industries logo at the right chest and an ICECREAM wordmark across the back. The Faux Fur Messenger Bag ($100) is the same Dalmatian fur, with reflective "IC" patches on the front pockets, a running dog embroidered on the back pocket, a reflective nylon strap and a 4.3-litre capacity. At ICECREAM, apparel runs from S to XXL.

The read

Alpha's own description of the collection introduces ICECREAM as "Founded by Pharrell and Nigo" and says it "brings its bold graphics and fearless energy to our classic military silhouettes." That puts the deal in the right order: this is ICECREAM dressing Alpha's flight-jacket stock, with Alpha's logo on the tee's chest and little else, not Alpha stepping into ICECREAM's cartoon world. The reflective shells and the spotted fur are the two ideas, and every piece carries one or both.

It's also a wider release than most capsules. The same five pieces sit on both brands' own sites at identical prices, from an $80 tee up to the $300 jacket. Neither brand has published quantities or a restock plan in its posts or product pages, so how long the jacket lasts is unknown. The next date is Japan on October 17.
