Santa Cruz Skateboards' Pokémon Trading Card Game collection drops Saturday, October 17, at 9am ET (6am PT), worldwide, according to the skate brand's own page. It's built around Pokémon's 30th anniversary: 30 skateboard decks, each designed around one of 30 well-known Pokémon TCG cards, sold in sealed blind bags, so you don't know which deck you've got until you open it.

Each bag holds one 8-inch by 31.6-inch deck, picked at random, and a Limited Edition Pokémon Player's Guide booklet showing all 30 designs. Santa Cruz says every deck keeps the card's original artwork and builds a new design around it, picking up details like the card's Energy type. The images it has released cover both ends of the game's history: the original Base Set Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise, and recent ex cards including Pikachu, Dragapult and Bellibolt.

The chase is gold. Three glitter gold foil variants, each a collage of Global versions of several Pokémon TCG cards, are limited to 500 worldwide apiece. The collection also covers apparel and griptape; PokeBeach reported in February that the apparel includes hats, T-shirts and sweaters.

Santa Cruz hasn't put prices on its Pokémon page yet. The last time the brand worked with Pokémon, in 2023, each blind bag sold for about $100 and the set ran to 20 boards, with five rare gold boards reportedly limited to 50 each, according to PokeBeach. This run is larger on both counts: 30 designs instead of 20, and gold decks made 500 at a time rather than 50.

The collection was first announced in February for a fall release. Santa Cruz is taking email sign-ups on its Pokémon page for a reminder before it drops.
