Miu Miu Turned Its Spring 2027 Runway Into a Gym Floor, With Olivia Colman and Gigi Hadid Walking

Miu Miu showed its Spring 2027 collection on Sunday, October 4, at the Palais d'Iéna in Paris, and set it on a sports court. Wallpaper* describes a purple floor painted with thick white lines, with bleacher seating around it. WWD says the stands looked like the ones at a local swimming pool or high-school gym. Wallpaper* adds that the house might have shifted the show forward by two days, since Miu Miu usually presents on the final Tuesday of Paris Fashion Week.

The house calls the collection Here and Now. Its own notes describe a wardrobe of what people actually wear today, sportswear, knitwear, leather and vintage, set against classical pieces: the tailored suit, the chemisier, embroidered evening dresses. Miu Miu says the two sides are laid next to each other so they rub, then cross over, and that the result lives in the space between them.

Warm-up jackets and checked wool

WWD reads the show as a change of mood after the outdoorsy Fall 2026 collection. Its description of the typical outfit: swimwear-style bottoms, a track jacket or short workout top, and a checked wool piece such as a blazer or pleated skirt. Kilts turned up often, alongside a few puffed miniskirts. On the men's side, which included Jamie Bell, WWD saw close-fitting raglan tops, zip cardigans and wool trousers.

The construction notes are on Miu Miu's page. The house says it waxed and laminated suede so that it cracks, ages and creases on purpose. Crossed lacing takes the place of fastenings on denim, pleated skirts, cocktail dresses and shoes, which lets the clothes move around the body. Wallpaper* and WWD both mention the Wrangler collaboration, which puts cross-lacing on the American brand's slim cowboy-cut jeans.

A cast with a dance thread

Wallpaper* lists the people walking: Jamie Bell, Hortense de Gromard, Ella Bleu Travolta, Noah Jupe, Olivia Colman, Gigi Hadid, Liu Wen, Bunny Rogers, Chandler Kinney and Emma Corrin, and says the cast leaned on faces tied to dance, starting with Bell's Billy Elliot role. WWD names Colman, Corrin, Jupe, Kinney, Donkey Kid and Louisa Jacobson, Meryl Streep's daughter. Prada told reporters after the show she did not want to over-explain it, and that she was after elegance in sport, according to WWD.
