Prada's Holiday 2026 campaign is a cartoon, drawn by hand. The house released "Drawing Prada" on October 27, calling it "a Prada fantasy created by hand, an experiment in craft", with a team of animators building a hand-drawn world around five actors: Chen Haoyu, Luther Ford, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Maya Hawke and Sadie Sink. Prada names Chen, Hawke, Sink and Harrison as its ambassadors, with Ford alongside them.
Prada says the drawings are by artists led by John Pomeroy, whom it describes as a legendary cinematic animator whose eye has helped define some of the leading productions of the past fifty years. Glen Luchford shot the photographs, with the lighting and angles keyed to the illustrations, and the campaign mixes still images with short films that put the actors into animated winter scenes. Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons are the creative directors, and Ferdinando Verderi is credited with the campaign's creative direction.
What's in the pictures
Prada pitches the look as the charm of old Hollywood and age-old fables: storybook winter scenes full of animal characters. In one still, an actor in a brown double-breasted coat with a black Prada nylon bag steps in from the snow to a cartoon cottage as two drawn bats fly past. In another, three mice lounge on a white Prada handbag and a spotted pony-hair loafer next to a block of cheese, and in the picture beside it a red-haired cast member smiles in through the mousehole. In Prada's words, the illustrated settings are "entirely executed by hand".
Our read
Holiday campaigns are where luxury houses sell gifts, and most of them show the gift: a bag on a table, a model by a tree. Prada has made the making the subject instead, which fits a house that keeps returning to craft and process, and hand animation is a slow, deliberate way to say it while so much advertising leans on generated images. It also lands a day after Miu Miu's own Holiday 2026 campaign, a film with Gigi Hadid among its cast, and Miuccia Prada is creative director of both houses. Two holiday campaigns in two days, with very different looks. Prada hasn't said which pieces in the pictures are part of a holiday collection or what they cost.
