adidas Originals and BAPE Go Purple Camo for Golden Era, Out November 7

BAPE and adidas Originals release a basketball collection on Saturday, November 7. BAPE's Japanese and US accounts posted it on Thursday and Friday under the name Golden Era, and the caption gives the pitch in one line: basketball heritage meets BAPE streetwear, through the Crazy Energy+, COLOR CAMO PURPLE pieces and a statement varsity jacket. It sells on the adidas CONFIRMED app, at select retailers worldwide, at selected BAPE stores and online: BAPE Japan's post names bape.com, BAPE US's names us.bape.com. BAPE has given no time and no prices.

The jacket is the piece. It's a black wool varsity with black leather sleeves and cream striped ribbing, the adidas Trefoil and Originals script on one side of the chest and an Ape Head ringed in gold studs on the other, chenille A and B letters over the pockets, ADIDAS down one sleeve and pink-outlined stars on the other, with gold studs around the Ape Head, in the A and down the sleeves. The back reads WORLD GONE MAD in a patchwork of letters, A BATHING APE above it and Ape Shall Never Kill Ape below. Loud, and the only piece in the drop that isn't built on camo or stars.

Everything else runs on BAPE's camo in purple and the Trefoil. Two mesh zip hoodies: one in COLOR CAMO PURPLE with a shark face on the hood, three stripes down the sleeves and a large Trefoil on the back, the other in plain purple scattered with black BAPE STA stars and BAPE across the back. A black mesh V-neck jersey with long sleeves and camo side panels says WORLD GONE MAD on the front in camo-filled letters and carries a BAPE STA on the back. There are matching track pants in both patterns, a purple camo beanie with a Trefoil and a BAPE STA and a plain navy one, a white Baby Milo tee with Milo sat on a gold ring, and a Baby Milo bag in the shape of a basketball. Two sneakers round it out, one in purple camo and red and one in silver, but sneakers aren't what we cover.

BAPE has been running a sport season: a wrestling collection with UNDEFEATED in October, the F1 Las Vegas capsule in Las Vegas in person the same day and online November 18, and now basketball with adidas. BAPE's own US site says the two first teamed up on football in Fall/Winter 2025 and then listed a second football-inspired collection for Saturday, February 7, ahead of the 2026 World Cup, so Golden Era moves the partnership from the pitch to the court. The varsity jacket looks like the centrepiece; what the camo hoodies and jersey cost, and whether the jacket is limited to the CONFIRMED app, are the two things to watch for on Saturday.
