Carnival, the Bangkok sneaker store that also makes its own clothes, has a Tekken collection landing on Saturday, September 26. It teased the collaboration on Instagram last week and has now posted the full lookbook: jackets, oversized T-shirts, jerseys, long-sleeve T-shirts and hoodies, built on Bandai Namco's fighting game series, with Carnival's name printed next to Tekken's on many of them.

The piece leading the lookbook is a red and white racing jacket, with TEKKEN and CARNIVAL across a white chest panel, 鉄拳 (the series' Japanese name) patched on the chest and the sleeves covered in sponsor-style badges. It sets the tone for the rest: this is fan merchandise in the old sense, with the logo and the fighters front and centre.

Two jerseys stand out. A black baseball jersey splits 鉄拳 across the chest and spells TEK KEN along the placket. A blue football jersey is printed all over, with a fighter across the front, Tekken in pink lettering and Carnival written underneath in katakana, カーニバル.

The rest works through the roster. A long-sleeve top is printed with rows of the game's characters, a black hoodie carries a grainy black and white cast photo across the back above both logos, and a black tee puts KING across its back over a panel of the character. Carnival's caption leans on the Mishima family and the rivalries inside it, which have driven the series' story for decades, and the graphics lean on the game's own art: familiar characters and logos, set in Carnival's styling.

It's a busy fortnight at Carnival. From September 29 to October 31 its One Bangkok store hosts THE FIRST FAN, the pop-up for PEACEMINUSONE's Toy Story collaboration, and it has teased a New Era and MLB project with its own name on it as coming soon. A store built on selling other brands' releases is increasingly putting its own name next to theirs. Tekken also lands the same week PlayStation announced its LISA controller and merchandise.

Carnival hasn't given prices, a launch time or where the collection will sell; its post says only to stay tuned for more details. Its recent launches have gone through the Carnival app and online store, so the app and Carnival's Instagram are the places to watch this week, especially if you're outside Thailand and waiting to find out whether any of it ships.
