Louis Vuitton closed Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday, October 6, with its Spring/Summer 2027 womenswear show in the Cour Carrée of the Louvre, the final major show of a season that started in New York last month. The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode lists the show at 6:30pm and its lookbook runs to 49 looks.

The set was the story people photographed. According to AP, an asphalt runway crossed the courtyard beneath dozens of wedge-shaped concept cars raised on poles and covered in the house's Damier checkerboard. Nicolas Ghesquière has built a career on sculpted, futuristic silhouettes, and the cars were that taste at courtyard scale.

The clothes, AP says, went the other way. Ghesquière loosened up with gauzy shift dresses, cardigans, short jackets and soft tailoring. Delicate fabrics moved as the models walked, slim trousers carried sheer mesh panels, and silver lamé gave some of the shift dresses a metallic flash. A softer, lighter Vuitton is a turn for a designer known for structure; this account rests on AP's description of the show.

The front row

Zendaya, a Louis Vuitton house ambassador, sat front row in jeans and the ruffled white lace jacket she wore to the Paris premiere of The Odyssey, a custom piece by Ghesquière, according to Yahoo Entertainment. AP also names Emma Stone, Saoirse Ronan, Blackpink's Lisa, Sophie Turner and Catherine Deneuve among the guests.

The rewear is a small detail with a point: on the week's last night, a house ambassador chose a piece she had already worn over anything new. Yahoo's account notes she styled it more casually than at the premiere, with a white tank top, straight-leg jeans and pointed pumps.
