Marc Jacobs has cast Megan Stalter, Kayla on HBO Max's Hacks, as the lead of Let It Joy, its Winter 2026 holiday campaign. The brand announced it on Monday, November 2, and says the Winter 2026 collection is available now in Marc Jacobs boutiques worldwide, on marcjacobs.com and at select luxury retailers.

The setup is a sitcom episode. A record-breaking New York snowstorm hits days before the holidays, Stalter is at a downtown hotel with an invitation to a party, and the invitation leaves out the room number. The brand's release says the campaign plays out as a series of comic vignettes of her search, with The Scene Bag, The Tote Bag and the rest of the collection worked into each outfit change. Marc Jacobs' first post of it on Instagram sums it up: "The forecast said stay in. Meg had other plans."

The guest list is New York people: Knicks center Andre Drummond, social media personality Ashtin Earle, Interview editor-in-chief and stylist Mel Ottenberg, model and actor Kai Schreiber, and designer and stylist Miyako Bellizzi.

What's in it

The release names The Scene Bag in new sizes and The Tote Bag in new seasonal colours as the headline pieces, with The Puffer as the outerwear and The Scene Wallet, small leather goods, accessories and Marc Jacobs Beauty filling out the gift list. Footwear is the 72 Spring Street Sneaker and The Aspen Winter Boots. Marc Jacobs hasn't given prices in the release or its posts, and it doesn't credit a director or photographer for the campaign.

Our read

The release opens by calling the campaign the follow-up to "a year of cinematic, character-driven storytelling". The clearest example is April, when Marc Jacobs launched The Scene, a scripted micro-drama Rachel Sennott wrote and starred in for Pre-Fall 2026, built around The Scene Bag. Let It Joy keeps the bag, swaps Sennott's chase for an invite for Stalter's chase for a room number, and casts another comic actor rather than a model. The release says it outright: product is "a narrative device", and the brand approaches a holiday campaign "as entertainment".

The Scene Bag is still the lead product six months after its launch, now in new sizes for the holidays. Marc Jacobs hasn't said how the bag has sold, so whether it's become a line or just a running prop isn't something the brand has answered yet.
