adidas Originals has launched adiSignature, a new line of its most basic clothes rebuilt from scratch, with Willy Chavarria as the collection's creative advisor. The first collection went on sale on Friday, October 23, at adidas.com, adidas stores and select retailers, priced from €45 to €100, with most styles under €100, adidas said in its October 20 release.

It's sweats: hoodies, full-zips, crewnecks, tees, tanks, sweatpants and mock-neck quarter-zips, plus the Firebird and SST tracksuits. adidas says each piece was rebuilt in a heavyweight 420g brushed-back fleece, down to the Three Stripes, the ribbing, the waistband heights, the zip pulls, one-piece hoods, dropped shoulders and roomier sweatpants. The first drop leans on 80s-style colour blocking with adidas and Trefoil branding, and a premium "NY block" pack brings back an archival 80s jogging suit.

"adiSignature is a framework that adidas and I developed together that will evolve over years," Chavarria says in the release. "It's a new way of thinking about the brand's timeless offering." The campaign was shot and directed by Brianna Capozzi, with styling by Georgia Pendlebury.

Not a Chavarria collab

The distinction matters. Chavarria already has a collaboration line with adidas Originals: its Fall 2026 collection, out October 3, put his name on the product, with a Chavarria Track Jacket and Track Pant, a Chicano Sweatshirt with red, white and green accents taken from the Mexican flag and the Megaride-based Mega Willy shoes at $230 and $280. adiSignature is sold as adidas's own line, with adidas and Trefoil branding, and its clothes top out at €100. He advises; adidas signs it.

Our read

Hoodies and sweatpants are the most basic clothes adidas makes, and the category where heavyweight fleece and boxy fits have become the norm at every price. Bringing in a designer known for exactly those proportions, as an advisor rather than a name on the label, lets adidas fix its basics without turning them into a limited drop. The test is the word adidas keeps using: a framework that "will evolve over years". Whether later adiSignature collections reach further than sweats and tracksuits, and whether Chavarria stays on them, adidas hasn't said.
