Louis Vuitton is giving its Shibuya men's store a holiday installation from November 7 to December 31, and stocking it with pieces it won't sell anywhere else in Japan. Louis Vuitton Japan announced it on October 30: an elegant train travels through a series of small worlds inside the store, as an interactive display, and the shop at Miyashita Park carries women's pieces for the first time.
The pull is the exclusives. Two men's wallets, the Portefeuille Marco at ¥154,000 and the Portefeuille Brazza at ¥173,800, both in cowhide, come in colours that Louis Vuitton says are sold only at this store worldwide. The LV Lucky Flower bag charm, a Monogram flower in mink fur at ¥126,500, is limited to the installation within Japan.
The Neverfull BB lands here first
The bigger piece is the Neverfull BB LV&I, a small version of the house's Neverfull tote whose canvas colour, strap and charms the buyer chooses. It goes on sale at the Shibuya installation before any other Louis Vuitton store in Japan, at ¥555,500. The release shows three versions: brown Monogram with a mint strap and a cat-face charm, black Monogram with a red strap and an animal-face charm, and cream Monogram with a pink pouch and strap, each with a drawstring pouch sitting in the top.
Two more pieces are exclusive to the installation within Japan, though Louis Vuitton sells them in other countries: the LV Cute Teddy Bear, a furry bear charm with a Monogram pouch, at ¥122,100, and a Boîte à Stickers sticker box at ¥16,500. Anyone buying selected pieces gets a free hot-stamp in a design drawn from the Shibuya neighbourhood, on the day of purchase and at this store only.
The read
Store-only colours are an old trick for turning a shop into a destination, and Louis Vuitton is aiming this one at Tokyo's holiday crowds and the visitors who come for them. The prices give away who it's for: of the pieces Louis Vuitton picked out, the cheapest is a sticker box, and the next is a ¥122,100 charm.
What the release doesn't give is how many of the exclusives there are, beyond saying quantities are limited, or when the Neverfull BB LV&I reaches other stores. It also shows none of the train installation itself, so the first look at the store comes when it opens on November 7.
When it drops
Correction: Corrected October 31, 2026: an earlier version said the cream Neverfull BB has pink trim; in Louis Vuitton's photo its pouch and strap are pink and its trim is tan leather.
