Palace's new London shop opens with Burberry. Palace posted the collaboration on October 30, tagging Burberry, and the caption keeps it short: "highly highly limited" store exclusives, sold only at the new Palace shop at 8 Poland Street in Soho, which opens on November 5. Neither brand has given prices, and Palace's post says nothing about an online release.
The photos show what's in it. Burberry's check covers a hooded jacket, a button-up shirt, a cap with Palace's P on the front and a skateboard deck. On the back of the outerwear, Palace's Tri-Ferg triangle and Burberry's Equestrian Knight, the house's horse-and-rider emblem, are printed as one graphic. WWD, which reported the capsule the same morning, puts it at 10 pieces from the images released so far, and says Burberry teased it on Instagram too.
The car coat
The standout is a beige coat, which WWD identifies as Burberry's Camden car coat in honey beige. This one is screen-printed all over in navy with English countryside scenes, trees, a thatched cottage and a water wheel, and carries the joint graphic across the back, a check lining, a Burberry and Palace label and a big "8 Poland St" on the chest for the shop it's made for.
The rest is simpler. A cream long-sleeve tee carries the Tri-Ferg and the knight in gold on the chest, and the check deck has the same graphic at the tail. Palace's caption credits the photos to Lev Tanju, one of its founders, and they're shot at home and on the street, with a poodle in most of them.
The read
It's a fitting way to open the shop. Palace closed its first London store, on Brewer Street, in September and is moving a few streets away to 8 Poland Street, and pairing the opening with London's best-known heritage house gives people a reason to queue on day one. Palace has done fashion and luxury capsules before; WWD counts Gucci, Calvin Klein, Polo Ralph Lauren and Rimowa among them. Keeping this one to a single shop is what makes it different.
For Burberry it's a change of pace from what it has done under Daniel Lee, which WWD describes as cultural partnerships, most recently its spring 2027 work with Celia Birtwell. A store-only skate capsule is the opposite: small, loud and gone fast. What's still open is the price list, how many of each piece were made, and whether anything turns up online after the shop sells through.
