Cecilie Bahnsen's second Uniqlo collection is about fleece. Uniqlo announced the Fall/Winter 2026 collection on Wednesday, November 4, with a release date of Friday, November 20 in Japan; its global account gives the same date and says launch dates may vary by region. It's eight women's pieces and six for girls, built around soft fleece and winter accessories, in a palette Uniqlo describes as a Nordic winter: black, dark navy, heather grey and pale pink.

The details are where it looks like Bahnsen. Small embroidered flowers, which Uniqlo says were inspired by wildflowers in a field, are placed across fleece jackets, vests and skirts. The skirts have a frill at the waist in a contrasting fabric, meant to be worn with a top tucked in, and the jackets and vests have adjusters so the length and shape can be changed. Knit gloves and fleece hats round it out. The girls' pieces include a peplum-frill floral top and an A-line skort.

Prices and where to buy

In Japan, the women's fleece jackets and vests are ¥3,990 to ¥4,990, the skirt ¥3,990, the top ¥1,990, accessories ¥1,990 to ¥2,990 and socks ¥590, tax included. The girls' fleece jackets and vests are ¥2,990, the skort ¥2,490, the top ¥1,500, accessories ¥1,500 and socks ¥790. The full line sells at Uniqlo's online store and 106 stores, two of them without the girls' pieces, with some items in every Uniqlo store in Japan. Uniqlo hasn't given U.S. prices or a U.S. date yet.

"In my second collaboration with UNIQLO, I'm so excited to have been able to create a collection themed around fleece, which is getting renewed attention right now," Bahnsen says in Uniqlo's Japanese release (our translation). She calls fleece a nostalgic favourite she can't do without this time of year.

Our read

The first collection, "Shapes of Poetry", launched on May 22 and was jersey dresses, tops and skirts, the obvious translation of a designer known for volume and smocking. Fleece is the less obvious choice and a sensible one: it's a staple Uniqlo already makes, so Bahnsen's part is the embroidery, the frills and the colour rather than a new garment. At under ¥5,000 for the most expensive piece, it's also a long way from the outerwear she's been making with The North Face, which landed this week too.
